Saiyedna Shehaabuddin Saheb (aq) remained as Da’i ul-Mutlaq on Masnad-e-Da’wat for 7 years, is known for his Wafaa (Loyalty) and Qurbaani (Sacrifice). Every year on 14th Safar ul-Muzaffar mumineen come for the Urs of Muqaddas Maulaa in Jannat ul-Mumineen, Qabrastan. Since Mazoon ud-Dawat (dm) and Mukaasir Saheb (dm) were on the tour of Iran, the Majlis of Shab-e-Urs was presided by Ra’s ul-Hudood Saheb (dm). Explaining the meaning of the word “Urs”, he said that, ‘Urs is usually related to death anniversary and people mourn on that occasion.’ But whenever there is Urs of any Da’i, the Rozah Mubaarakah is decorated with lights and the occasion is ‘celebrated’ with great zeal and reverence. Some of the munaafeqeen contends that Urs should not be ‘celebrated’ because it is an occasion of mourning. The word ‘Urs’ is Arabic means ‘to marry’ or ‘to arrange a wedding feast’. Ra’s ul-Hudood said that, “The occasion of Urs and the meaning of the word seem to be contradictory to a common person but if we look it in the context of Ta’weel then it is not at all wrong. Whenever the Da’i ul-Mutlaq dies, all the souls of mumineen gathered in the Da’i meets the Imaam uz-Zamaan (as) along with him. This is the Bashaarat (good tidings) for all the mumineen that our Da’i takes them to the Imaam (as) after his death.”
Mumineen does the khidmat of Muqaddas Maulaa in every possible way they can afford to by arranging the Ta’aam for the visitors (zaa’ereen) on Shab-e-Urs or by offering the Chaadar (garland) on the Qabr or by distributing Sheerni (sweets). Each form of Charity done in the name of Maulaa earns countless reward to a mumin. Ra’s ul-Hudood narrated a riwaayat that, ‘Three men came to Rasoolullaah (saws) in the month of Ramazaan to offer Zakaat. They were seated near him in the Masjid-e-Nabawi along with the companions (Ashaab). One among them gave 10 gold coins out of 100 coins he had; second man gave 10 dinar out of 100 dinar he had; and the third one gave 1 dirham out of 10 dirhams he had. Rasoolullaah (saws) accepted their Zakaat and did Du’a for them. The companions who were also seated nearby asked Rasoolullaah (saws), ‘O Prophet of Allaah, will those three men get equal reward for the Zakaat they gave?’ Rasoolullaah (saws) replied, ‘Yes, because they all have given me 1/10th of what they had and so they will get same reward from Allaah’. Ra’s ul-Hudood said that, it is true even for the mumineen who spends their wealth in the name of Muqaddas Maulaa. In what form they spend is not important but how much from their wealth they are able to spend is important. Concluding his speech, he said, ‘May Allaah accept the deeds of the mumineen done in the way of Muqaddas Maulaa.’ |
