O Maulaa, we have offered the Du’aa near your Qabr-e-Anwar, took your Waseelah, did your Ziyaarat and taken your Minnat. We seek your kindness and benevolence in each and every occasion of our marriage. O Maulaa, your Du’aa is laudable and valuable near Allaah Ta’aala. With the Waseelah of Hujjat of Allaah, may our marriage begin and end peacefully with respect, love and peace. Make us steadfast on the path of Shari’at of Allaah and the Deen of Ahl ul-Bayt (as).
We as an Alavi Bohras enjoy the favor from our Da’wat-e-Haadiyah that our Maulaa constantly emphasizes us to learn Lisaan ud Da’wat and untiring efforts have been undertaken to make it the language of every Alavi household. A part of this effort got a fruitful result when Sister Asma Barodawala (Attarwala) was invited for a 3 day seminar on LINGUISTIC AND LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT IN JAMMU AND KASHMIR WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO TRIBAL LANGUAGES organized by Dept. of Linguistics (University of Kashmir) on 14-16 November 2011. She presented a paper on “ALAVI BOHRA LANGUAGE: LANGUAGES IN CONTACT”.
The itinerary of the Ziyaarat began from the Qubbah Mubaarakah of Saiyedna Ali bin Ibraahim ash-Shaheed (aq). Ra’s ul-Hudood (dz) did the taqreer and gave a short description of the History of Du’aat ul-Akrameen and Mawaali-e-Taahereen (aq) at selected places in the Qabrastan of Bibipur or Saraspur. He portrayed the difficult time of the persecution of the Taiyebi Bohras by the then Rulers of Ahmedabad for 133 years – from 813-946 AH.
Under the guidance of Maa-Saahebah and Bu-Sahebah a committee was formed 5 years back. This committee has successfully done a Tasheel un-Nisbat – Engagement Program for boys and girls 2 years back where 3 successful engagements took place. On 9th Moharram ul-Haraam 1433 AH, Huzoor-e-‘Aali (tus) in his pivotal speech urged the members of committee to plan a similar program for Alavi boys and girls. Following his noble words, the members of Anjuman-e-Tanzeem-e-Millat Committee have fixed the date of the program on 5th February 2012 / 13th Rabi ul-Awwal 1433, Sunday, at Zenith High School ground, Insha Allaah.
100th issue of Mishkaat ul-Haadi will be a valuable and memorable gift to all mumineen. It will cover various interesting aspects. Mumineen can equally participate in the making of this issue by contributing their own ideas or highlighting the previous articles of the newsletter or requesting us a subject of their interest. Huzoor-e-‘Aali (tus) addressed the mumineen and said that, “It is the greatest fortune for the mumineen this year that Mukaasir ud-Da’wat Mohammad Nooruddin Saheb (dm) is accompanying the mumineen as their Ameer ul-Hajj. Saiyedna Saheb (TUS) prayed and bestowed his blessings on all of them for their completion of Arkaan-e-Hajj, good health and peaceful journey to the Holy Ka'bah and Madinah.”
Mukaasir ud-Da’wat (dm) also extended his wishes to all the Hujjaaj and said that, “With the Waseelah of Huzoor-e-‘Aali (tus) we all pray to Allaah to encourage us to complete all the obligations of the Hajj."
Following the wasiyat of Saiyedna Badruddin Hasan bin Wali (qr), Saiyedna Ziyauddin saheb migrated to his hometown Vadodara in 1110 AH with 250 mumineen along with all belongings especially protecting the khazaanah of Da'wat which consisted of valuable manuscripts of Du'aat ul-Akrameen. Our Saiyedna took unimagnable pains to protect our community and migrated on bullock carts that took days and nights to reach Vadodara from Ahmedabad.
“Read in the Name of your Lord who created”, this is the first command from Allaah which Rasoolullaah (saws) delivered to Ahl-e-Islaam. Thus inculcating the habit of reading or acquiring the knowledge of Da’wat-e-Haqq in children is the responsibility of parents. If a child spends 8 hours in doing school related studies, then why a parent cannot make his child spend 1 hour for deeni ta’leem!!!

A book on the history of 24 Du'aat-e-Keraam (aq) of Yaman Ashaab ul-Yamaan (Gujarati & English) contains a comprehensive historic account of each Yamani Da’i, the books which Du’aat wrote and what is its subject matter, different ash’aar, during the Da’wat of Yaman, the role of different of Maulaayi in India and the important of their time, a map Yaman Ziyaaraat, a list of 24 Du'aat-e-Keraam (aq) along with their tenure of Da’wat, Colour photos of different mazaaraat Yaman, for the first time the entire history in Gujarati has been lucidly translated into English.
History of Du’aat ul-Akrameen (aq) of Yaman is the first part of the project which got released in the month of Shahrullaah 1432 AH. Insha-Allaah after publishing this book we will undertake the compilation of the history of Du’aat ul-Akrameen (aq) of India. May Allaah, encourage us to do khidmat of Da’wat and make us the true believer of Hablullaahil Mateen and enlighten our hearts with the Walaayat of Imaam uz-Zamaan (as) and Da’i uz-Zamaan (tus).
Nikaah of Purity is the Foundation of the Faithful Family Alavi Matrimony
Mumineen who are residing in Baroda or out of Baroda or far from the Alavi locality or abroad and whose children has crossed the respectable age of marriage but are still unmarried should register themselves. This will, Insha-Allaah, prove the best medium to put their details and get information about others too. It is not that only those who have lost hope of getting good proposals should go for this, but mumineen who have delayed their marriage due to their personal reasons or taken divorce or became widowed should also apply.
Marriage of a mumin is the way of perfection of his Imaan. We pray for every Alavi brother that Allaah Ta’aala bestow him with faithful and pious wife and every Alavi sister get noble and affectionate husband.
The succession of the true and blessed Da'wat, which exists on the facade of the earth from the beginning of creation till the Day of Resurrection (Qayaamat) , continues to disengage us from the bodily confinement and personifies our deeds, abiding to the shari'at, and ascends us to the sanctity and sacredness through the path of salvation (najaat). The competent authority of Allaah (Hujjat) is always present on this globe below the skies, either publicly (zaahir) or in the veil (satar, baatin). Allaah Ta'aala says in the Qur'an that, ‘This practice (sunnat) has been continuing from timeless periods and there is no possibility of change or alteration in it; and in every era there is a fiend, infernal and hellish Satan (Shaitaan) against the divine and saintly authority of Allaah (Hujjat).'
