  Imaam Husain (as) gives the purest of a life and the best of a path to a Mumin
 
 

Just like every Hijri-Misri Year, Moharram ul-Haraam 1429 began with the pur josh ‘azaadari of Imaam Husain (as). al-Masjid un-Nooraani turned into the garden of Paradise by the presence of Huzoor-e-‘Aali (tus). The wa'az and taqreer of Mazoon Saheb (dm) which is the life of Moharram ul-Haraam embellished the beginning of the month with Husaini Roohaaniyat and Nooraaniyat. The Walaayat and Aqeedat of Imaam Husain (as) transformed hundreds of mumineen, present in the Masjid, into the Malaa'ekat (angels) of Allaah. Getting an opportunity to attend the Majlis of Imaam Husain (as) is the greatest and choicest blessing of Allaah, said Mazoon Saheb (dm) in his taqreer.

The taqreer of Mazoon Saheb (dm) began with the Khutbah-e-Baleeghah, which described and highlighted the supreme status of a Mumin in the eyes of Allaah. Mumineen are Faa'ezeen (the winners) for whom Allaah has destined the Paradise. Mumineen are Muttaqeen (having fear of Allaah) for whom Allaah has succeeded their life Hereafter. Mumineen are ‘Aarefeen (having recognition of the right path) for whom Allaah has given the Guide (Hujjatullaah) in this world. Allaah has incorporated the Mumineen among His closest and dearest Creation. They are the Zubdah (cream) of all the creations of Allaah.

Mazoon Saheb (dm) added that every creation of Allaah is perfect in each of its stage. The purpose of creation is not solved or attained until it gains the perfection – for Allaah has designated a respective level of perfection for everything. For example, a plant attains its perfection till reaches the stage of flowering; flowers attains perfection by getting fertilized; fertilization gets complete by formation of fruit; fruit gains its absoluteness only when it ripens… and so on. The same is true for a Mumin. He is born as a Muslim; his age advances and he is perfected by giving Misaaq to Da'i uz-Zamaan (tus) – when the soul of Imaan and Walaayat gives him altogether new ruhaani life – the life which will keep him alive after the death. Bearing Misaaq in his neck, if a Mumin acts and abides to the obligations of the Shari'at and moulds his character and conduct, he gains more perfection.

O Mumineen, to attain perfection in its entirety, we need to lead a life with Hayaat-e-Taiyebah and Uswat-e-Hasanah (best way and pure life) . The triangle which guides us to Hayaat-e-Taiyebah and Uswat-e-Hasanah is the one whose corners are: Imaam Husain (as), Qur'an-e-Kareem and a Mumin – all of them having 4 letters. As long as we are under the area of this triangle, with the grace of Allaah, we will surely attain the perfection and the true purpose of our life will be solved.

Haazereen Mumineen embraced the words of Mazoon Saheb (dm) to their hearts and conscience, and the whole Masjid reverberated with the echoes of Yaa Husain, Yaa Husain… when he said that, O mumineen, you have not come here in the Majlis of Imaam Husain (as) with your will and intention; it is the ‘azaadari that has brought you. It is the Gham-e-Husain that has turned your face away from the pre-occupations of the world and invited you in the Majlis of winning Jannat. Allaah has made us privileged and fortunate that, out of the blackness and evil of the world, He has given us the opportunity to shed tears on the hardships and sufferings of Imaam Husain (as). Because Rasoolullaah (saws) says that, whoever sheds tears on the martyrdom of Imaam Husain (as) and the torment and difficulties of Ahl ul-Bayt (as) will verily get Jannat as the reward. He also says that the Malaa'ekat (Angels) of Allaah collects the tears of that person and on the day of Qayaamat, the same tears will extinguish the fire of Jahannam for him and take him to the Paradise.

Mazoon Saheb (dm) elevated his hands and praised Allaah that it is the Saaya (shadow) of Imaam uz-Zamaan (as) that we are here. It is through his guidance and Ta'eed that Huzoor-e-‘Aali (tus) and I am able to guide you, give Naseehat to you, hold you on Siraatul Mustaqeem and Hablullaahil Mateen. It is the benevolence and kindness of Da'i uz-Zamaan (tus) with whose Razaa Mubaarak, I am sitting on the Masnad-e-Taiyebi and Maqaam-e-Faatemi. I am an ordinary servant of Imaam uz-Zamaan (as) whose blessings and bounty have elevated me to this Martaba (rank) of Mazoon.


How Rasoolullaah (saws) is elevated and exalted above all Ambiyaa

Describing the virtues and supremacy of Rasoolullaah (saws), Mazoon Saheb (dm) quoted an interesting dialogue of Rasoolullaah (saws) with Allaah. The dialogue goes the way that Rasoolullaah (saws), comparing himself to previous Ambiyaa (as), complains to Allaah and asks some questions to Him to which Allaah replies – giving a proof of the extent He has glorified and ascended the status of Rasoolullaah (as).

Rasoolullaah (saws): O Allaah, You have given 30,000 feathers to Jibra'eel (as) and when he opens them, it covers the whole land from east to west. You have not given me any such thing?

Allaah: O Rasoolullaah (saws), your every single hair of the scalp is better and superior than 30,000 feathers of Jibra'eel (as). I have given the exaltation of Nubuwwat in your hands by which you will give salvation and redemption to everyone from east to west.

Rasoolullaah (saws): O Allaah, You have created Maulaana Adam (as) with Your hands and has commanded all the Angels to prostrate to him. You have not given that status to me?

Allaah: O Rasoolullaah (saws), I have joined your name with Mine and I have written your name on the skies 2000 years before I created Maulaana Adam (as). I have ordered all the Angels to do the Tasbeeh of your name. The entrance of Paradise, its houses, the tree of Tuba and its leaves bear your name – Laa elaaha illallaah Mohammadur Rasoolullaah…

Rasoolullaah (saws): You have ascended Maulaana Idrees (as) to the skies and I am spared from this opportunity?

Allaah: O Rasoolullaah (saws), I have given you Me'raaj in which I ascended you above the seven skies and to the extent that you were closest to me – the place where even Jibra'eel (as) is not permitted.

Rasoolullaah (saws): You commanded Maulaana Nooh (as) to construct an ark on which whoever boarded was saved and whoever left was destroyed. I have not been commanded like that?

Allaah: O Rasoolullaah (saws), I have given Buraaq (a heavenly body with human face, trunk of a bird and legs of an animal) to you on whom you went from east to west and I showed you places wherever the Mosque of your community will be built.

Rasoolullaah (saws): O Allaah, You have ordered fire to cool down for Maulaana Ibraheem (as) and I did not get that favor?

Allaah: O Rasoolullaah (saws), I have given Kalemah-e-Shahaadat to you. Whoever will recite it with the purity and piousness of the heart will get close to the Paradise. The fire of Jahannam will cool down for him forever.


Ruhaani cure and Tooba

The Zikr of Ahl ul-Bayt (as) is the essence of every Majlis. Mazoon Saheb (dm) began his Taqreer and Bayaan with the selected verses of the Qur’an emphasizing on the status-Martabah of Rasoolullaah (saws). He compared the Shari’at-e-Islaam and Hujjatullaah-representative of Allaah with the practice of medicine and said that, Rasoolullaah (saws) is our Ruhaani and spiritual doctor. Just like a doctor excludes the harmful things from the diet, advices what to eat and sets schedule for his medicine in order to get complete cure, Rasoolullaah (saws) has given us the path of Hayaat-e-Taiyebah and said that you follow me, do what is permissible and keep yourselves away from the harmful things – you will never deviate from the Siraatul Mustaqeem.


Mazoon Saheb (dm) compared the Martabah and status of a Mumin with Shajarat-e-Tooba and said that, all who are present in the Majlis-e-Imaam Husain (as) are the selected and closest Angels of Allaah. Mazoon Saheb (dm) quoted a Hadees-e-Nabawi and said that, “Tooba is for him, who have seen Rasoolullaah (saws), Tooba is for him who have seen the person who have seen Rasoolullaah (saws) and Tooba is for him who have seen the person who have in turn seen a person who saw Rasoolullaah (saws) and so on. Hence we are the ones who have seen our Du’aat ul-Mutlaqeen (aq), who have seen A’immat-e-Taahereen (as), who have seen Maulaana Ali (as), who have seen Rasoolullaah (saws) in his lifetime. Hence, Tooba is for us, Ascension and Glorification is for us.


What is "Haqq" and with whom is it attributed?

Undoubtedly, Maulaana Ali (as) is present, wherever Rasoolullaah (saws) is present and so does his name. Describing the rank and Martabah of Maulaana Ali (as), Mazoon Saheb (dm) narrated an incident where, Ateeq (first caliph of the people) and Ibn-e-Sahhaak (second caliph of the people) approached Rasoolullaah (saws) in the Masjid un-Nabawi and said that, “O Rasoolullaah (saws), we want to see the Haqq (truth).”  Maulaana Ali (as) was also present at that time. Rasoolullaah (saws) said to both of them to go at a particular place where they would see Haqq. They both went to that place and found a pond of water but could no where find Haqq. They just went around the pond and eventually instead of finding Haqq, they found a fort whose walls and gate were purely made up of precious gems and stones. They went near the gate of the fort where they saw a golden lock. They tried to open it by reciting Ash-hado an laa ilaaha illallaah, Ash-hadoanna Mohammadan Rasoolullaah, and various verses of the Qur’an, but all their efforts went in vain. Only when they recited Ash-hadoanna Maulaana Aliyan Waliyullaah, they could open the lock. They tried to enter the fort but the moment they stepped forward, a man approached them from inside and slapped them on their face and commanded them to wait outside.


Both of them kept waiting for the whole night without any result. In the morning they saw a way in the pond of water. They decided to follow the way and finally they reached an open ground where they saw a huge Takht or throne. They saw a king sitting on the throne. When they were called upon by the king they saw that he was Maulaana Ali (as). They were left spellbound and astonished. Maulaana Ali (as) then ordered them to look around the throne. As they turned their face around they saw Maulaana Ali (as) everywhere, to their front, right and left. They lost control over their senses and out of bewilderment; they asked Maulaana Ali (as) about the way to Madina. Maulaana Ali (as) ordered a black cloud to flew them to Madina. When they came back to Rasoolullaah (saws), Maulaana Ali (as) was sitting beside him. Rasoolullaah (saws) asked them, “Did you see the Haqq?” They replied, We saw Maulaana Ali (as) everywhere. Rasoolullaah (saws) exclaimed, Verily “Haqq” is nothing but Maulaana Ali (as). Haqq (truth) goes wherever Ali (as) goes – they both will never separate. Haqq needs Ali (as), Ali (as) never needs Haqq.


Da'wat of Allaah is equally spread on each and every being on this earth

Mazoon Saheb (dm) said in the Wa'az that, The Da'wat of Allaah is eternal and un-ending. This has begun from the creation of Intellects (‘Uqool) in the Aalam-e-Ruhaani and has continued in this Aalam-e-Jismaani from the creation of Aadam-e-Kulli. The Da'wat of Allaah will continue till the Day of Qayaamat , Daur (period) after Daur and in an alternate way on this earth; first the period of Satr (concealment) then Kashf (revelation) and then again Satr . Da'wat of Allaah is promulgated and established on all the creations of Allaah and not only on us. His Da'wat is maintained on the surface of this earth by His Hujjat – Nabi, Wasi, Imaam or Da'i. The Nubuwat of a Nabiullaah, Wasaayat and Walaayat of Waliyullaah, Imaamat of Imaam-e-Aal-e-Mohammad (saws) and the Da'wat of Du'aat ul-Akrameen – all are the ruhaani branches and darajaat of Elaahi Da'wat of Allaah. They are responsible for ascending us from the mortal physical body to the divinity and eternity with the help of promulgating and conveying the Shari'at of Allaah among us.

Citing the example, Mazoon Saheb (dm) narrated an incident when Shimr zil Jaushan (la) was about to martyr Imaam Husain (as) in the Karbala. Birds flocked at the site and were encircling in the sky when Shimr had put a blunt knife on the neck of Imaam Husain (as) and said to him that, “O our Imaam (as), We are in your Da'wat-e-ruhaani and ready to answer your farmaan, how can we help you in this time of life and death?” Imaam Husain (as) ordered them to go and fetch the drops of water from Nahr-e-Furaat in their beaks and sprinkle them on the blunt knife of Shimr (la) so that it would cut his neck with ease. O mumineen, “Imaam Husain (as) was the Imaam of every living and non-living thing in the world.” O mumineen, see the loyalty and devotion of Imaam Husain (as) who kept with the words of Rasoolullaah (saws). He was the Imaam uz-Zamaan, he could have ordered the angels of Allaah to destroy the army of Yazeed, Mika'eel (as) and Israfeel (as), on the order of Imaam Husain (as), could have blew away the soldiers of Yazeedi army. Every living and non-living thing was in his service and under his command. But Marzi-e-Allaah (wish of Allaah) was in front of his eyes and nothing was more acceptable and supreme to him except it. Imaam Husain (as) embraced the martyrdom, sacrificed his life for Islaam and infused an eternal and perpetual life to the Elaahi Da'wat – which would continue and last forever, beyond the boundaries of time and period – till the Day of Qayaamat.


Majlis-e-Husain is the path towards "Hayaat-e-Taiyebah" (a healthy and holy life)

The Majlis of Imaam Husain (as) is the Elaahi Da'wat of Jannat for us. O mumineen, “Bow down and prostrate to this Noor and Aayat of Allaah.” O mumineen, Majlis of Imaam Husain (as) is the “heart” of all the Majlis. Just as the life is sustained by the beating of the heart which in turn gives the warmth, the memories of Karbala gives warmth and life to our Imaan. Just as the sunlight acts as a disinfectant and removes all impurities and contamination, the warmth of the zikr of Imaam Husain (as) removes all the evil and wickedness from our heart. Just as the heat is necessary for the gold to mould it into beautiful jewelry, the warmth of Azaadari and Maatam of Imaam Husain (as) moulds us into the priceless jewels and gemstones of a true Mumin and gives us Hayaat-e-Taiyebah. He who has not shed tears on Imaam Husain (as) and his Ahl ul-Bayt (as) is not a mumin. He is like a lifeless body moving around in this world. He who has not attended the Majlis-e-Imaam Husain (as) has not led a life with Hayaat-e-Taiyebah. He has deviated and wandered away from the Qur'an-Husain-Mumin triangle. Qur'an encompasses the revelation of Allaah, Tanzeel of Rasoolullaah (saws) and the Taweel of Maulaana Ali (as). Imaam Husain (as) takes us to the Ahl ul-Bayt (as) who are the real and only inheritors of the knowledge of Allaah. The life of a Husaini mumin brings for us the beautiful sketch of Hayaat-e-Taiyebah.


The Man of his family and society is a one who is loved by All

Unleashing the finer details of the life of a Mumin, Mazoon Saheb (dm) said that, “Mumineen are divided into four categories – understanding of which will help us to succeed in the life.

The first category includes those who are prestigious and esteemed in their house as well as in the society. These are the ones who present us with an ideal example. With their good deeds and virtuous character they have won honor and respect among their family members as well as in the society. They have managed and balanced the obligations of the family and the world. They are the selected ones of Allaah – His Nabi, Wasi, Imaam and Da'i – who by heading the responsibility of the Shari'at of Allaah have succeeded everywhere. Ascending ourselves near to their character by abiding to the Shari'at is our main aim of life. ‘House' not only means the place to live with the family members – in a broad sense, it is our community, religion and society. Our community is a family to us and all the mumineen are like imaani brothers and sisters for us, as Rasoolullaah (saws) has said that, ‘al mumino akhwul mumin,' which means that, “The mumin is the brother of mumin.” At another place, he (saws) says that, ‘O Ali, anaa wa antaa abawal mumineen,' which means that, ‘O Ali, me and you are the parents of mumineen.' Hence, we are all members of one family whose leaders are Rasoolullaah (saws) and Maulaana Ali (as) and we make one family. ‘Society' means the other religions of the world – in one sense. Conclusively, this is the category of the mumineen who are prestigious in the ‘family' as well as in the ‘society'. They are esteemed in the Islaam as well as among other religions.

The second category of mumineen is the one who are respectable and reputable in the family but are affronted and disrespected in the society. They have succeeded in the family matters but failed to keep up to the expectations in the society. The moment they step out of their homes, they are offended. O mumineen, we should not commit anything which would push us into this category.

The third one is that who are honored and privileged in the society but are offended in the house. The moment they enter their homes, they taste the bitterness of the relations with wife, parents and children. He whose house is turbulent with tensed and severed relations in the family will never be able to keep his intellect sound. They have not fulfilled the wishes and obligations of the family and have focused their attention to the society.

The last and the forth category which we should never belong to is that who are insulted and slighted in the family as well as in the society. These are the ones on whom the curse of Allaah has descended. They have failed in this world in its absoluteness and their life is ruined and in vain.

O mumineen, now look unto yourselves and think retrospectively where do you fall? O mumineen, we should lead our life in such a way that we count ourselves in the first category of mumineen. These are the days of Moharram ul-Haraam and the Majlis of Imaam Husain (as) which will lead us to the first category. We have come here to beautify and embellish our world as well as Aakherat.


The Maqaam of Imaam uz-Zamaan (as)

O mumineen, Huzoor-e-Aali (tus) is jalwaa-numa on the Masnad-e-Taiyebi and Takht-e-Faatemi. You all are seeing the Noor and Tajalli of Imaam uz-Zamaan (as) – though in concealment and in Satr , his Ta'eed and Hidaayat is always there for us. Huzoor-e-Aali (tus) is the Naa'ib of Imaam uz-Zamaan (as) in whose absence he is the Saheb of “Maqaam” for us. The presence of Da'wat-e-Haqq indicates the presence of Hujjatullaah i.e. Imaam uz-Zamaan (as) in this world. Whenever we begin some new work or we commence our journey somewhere or we face any difficulty or hindrance in our work, we take the ‘Waseelah' of Imaam uz-Zamaan (as) and keep Imaam Nazar or Nazr ul-Maqaam – which removes all difficulties and protects us in every respect. O mumineen, Nazr ul-Maqaam should be given to Da'i uz-Zamaan (tus) who is the Saheb of Maqaam for us.
