Under the guidance and direction of Da’wat-e-Hadiyah, a group of active and dedicated Shabaab (youth) of Alavi Mumineen who wanted to serve and do the Khidmat of the Jamaa’at wholeheartedly got together under the name of ‘Panjatani Charitable Trust’. It was that day when they sowed the seeds of their hopes and wishes, and very soon, with the altaaf-o-karam of Allaah Ta’aala and the fruitful guidance of Saiyedna Saheb (tus), their devotion and perseverance started bearing fruits. They never looked back since then and continued to organise different events in the Khidmat of Jamaa’at. Their main aim was to consolidate the education of the children who are compelled to compromise it due to financial constraints in the family. The Trust took up the task of distributing the notebooks and textbooks at nominal rates. They also collected the funds for the educational aid from the benevolent mumineen for providing the school fees of the children who cannot afford the expenses of the school. This does not put an end to their service. Mumineen visits Ahmedabad and Surat on the occasion of Urs of Muqaddas Du’aat ul-Akrameen (aq) but the Muminaat never used to get a chance to collectively gather on any such occasion. This feeling of ‘inability’ was palpable among the Muminaat since last couple of years. The members of Panjatani Charitable Trust came forward and organised special Ziyaarat Tours of Ahmedabad and Surat for Muminaat on the occasion of Urs Mubaarak, every once or twice a year.
Panjatani Trust added a new feather to their cap this year, by organizing a Prize Distribution on the occasion of Eid ul-Fitr. Helping for the education and encouraging the students with extraordinary performance is the perfect decoction for the progress of a community and they proved that they are the ones who can do this. The event of Prize Distribution was held on 3rd Shawwal 1429 / 2nd October 2008, Thursday behind Masjid un-Noorani. Maazoon Saheb Saiyedi Haatim Zakiyuddin saheb (dm) made his crowning presence as a chief guest of the event. No event is complete without his distinguished speech and taqreer. In his short and lucid speech, he highlighted the importance of acquiring education by quoting the Hadees-e-Nabawi, “Acquire knowledge from the Cradle to the Grave.” This single sentence is the sea of thousand words. He emphasized that learning and seeking knowledge is the command of Allaah Ta’aala and Rasoolullaah (saws). Ilm (knowledge) is the foundation of the Religion of Allaah. Being knowledgeable is being close to Allaah and being ignorant is being away from Allaah. He also quoted the verses from the Bayt of Saiyedna Fakhruddin Saheb (aq),
“Duniya ma nathi koi hunar ilm si afzal, rutbah ma chhe awwal,
Jaahil si chhe Allaah ne har haal ma inkaar, ay haidar-e-karraar, ay haidar-e-karraar,
Chhe ‘aalimo si deen Mohammad nu munawwar, su khush chhe muqaddar,
Be-deen thayaa ‘aalimo na ilm si deen-daar, ay haidar-e-karraar, ay haidar-e-karraar”
“There is no skill better than knowledge in this world; it has supreme status, Allaah neglects an ignorant in every sense; O Haidar-e-Karraar. The Shari’at of Mohammad (saws) is enlightened by the learned men (A’immat-e-Taahereen (as)); what a good fortune it is, Atheists have become religious (guided) through the knowledge of those learned men; O Haidar-e-Karraar.”
Maazoon Saheb (dm) applauded the achievements of the children of his Alavi mumineen and stated that there is no branch where our children have not succeeded with the flying colours. He added that the world has shrunk in the towering heights of development and advances and it is the matter of pride for us that every year, almost 25 students of our Jamaa’at go abroad for their further studies. People say that, “Small family happy family”, but what we say is that, “Small community knitted with smartness and supremacy in studies.”
The event of Prize Distribution was mainly funded by the members of Alavi Co-operative Bank. Students of 1st to 12th standard; graduate and post graduate students from all disciplines were felicitated with a certificate, a gift and a silver coin. Students of Madrasah Taiyebiyah who have secured first three ranks in their respective classes were also felicitated and presented with Qur’an-e-Kareem and a silver coin.
