We took a step ahead in maintaining bi-lateral literary and ‘ilmi-adabi relationship with Iranian scholars, when al-Mohtaram Aghaae Mahdi Mahdavipur met Huzoor-e-‘Aali Saiyedna saheb (tus) at Taiyebi Mahal Daar us-Salaam on 10th July 2012, Tuesday. al-Mohtaram Aghaae Mahdi Mahdavipur is a religious scholar of merit and an Chief representative of an Iran’s supreme religious leader Ayatollah Khamenei in India. The land of Persia is known for its distinguished quality of wisdom, piousness and sacrifice, as during the time of our 11th Faatemi Imaam Maulaana Mahdi (as) till 20th Imaam Maulaana Aamir (as) i.e. between 320-490 AH, this land has given many learned Du’aat ul-Balaagh who served Da’wat-e-Shareefah persistently.
Last year when Mazoon ud-Da’wat Saiyedi saheb (dm) visited Iran, it came into light that scholars there know little about our beliefs, customs and history. They are unaware of our Taiyebi traditions and preservation of the literary gems of our Iranian Du’aat who were holding high religious status in Misr. We started efforts to fill this vacuum and some scholars after visiting our centre in Vadodara assured us to undertake works focused on Bohras and to reprint old publications on Isma’ilis with corrected material on Taiyebis.
al-Mohtaram Aghaae Mahdi Mahdavipur said that, “We have to work together to preserve Shi’ee traditions quoted in Bohra sources. Your efforts are now discussed in literary circles in Iran and scholars are now keen to know you and your Da’wah activities. To the best of my capacity I will try to make this relationship of brotherhood stronger and cordially eternal.” Huzoor-e-‘Aali Saiyedna saheb (tus) welcomed this note and extended cooperation by saying that, “My sons will work together with you people and our only aim is to protect true Islaam and not let vested interests to harm our work.”
